Jenny spent much of Monday sleeping. She sat up for an hour, but was mostly asleep. She appears to be in less discomfort and breathing better. She has not been communicating much these past 2-3 days, but became more alert in the evening. Before leaving for the night, she kept saying her body was not comfortable and needed repositioning (she spelled repositioning). After a while, I think she was telling me this just to keep me there longer. The kids do not know how to communicate with Jenny yet, but Jessie likes to say she does. Jessie will ask her mom, “mom, can I have a treat?” After which, Jessie tells us, “mom said I could because I saw her blink.” She will ask for treats for her siblings too, but mom appearantly tells Jessie to tell them, “No!” I figured Jessie would be the first to work the system on this one.

The comments about Jessie were funny. It’s too bad they don’t provide water mattresses. I bet you would be more comfortable with a mattress that conformed to your body. There are those sponge like mattresses that claim to be really good too. I really appreciate this web site. Thanks to all who work on it.

I just learned of your return and website. When you are ready for visitors please let me know. This website is a wonderful way to keep up on Jenny’s progress. My parents remember meeting both of you at Cassie’s spring spectacular at Beech Grove, and have been asking many questions. Now they can read for themselves how much of an inspiration of faith the two of you have to offer all of your friends, family and others you have never met. Mark, we just want you to know that we think of you and the children and are praying for you all. Please, please let us know what we can do to help. We miss Jenny’s beautiful smile. I want to let you know what a pleasure it is to have Jenny as a teacher here. She has a way of making every single person in her class feel special and gives such awesome one on one instruction. We miss her terribly.
And to Jenny: Jenny, please know that not a day goes by that we don’t think of you. You are missed here terribly and we can’t wait to see you and talk to you. It’s very good that the Lynn kids are still in touch with their mother. I know quite a few kids that a disaster has happened with their family, and they turn bitter and don’t talk to people anymore
