Jenny was a bit congested Saturday and more tired than normal, but the infectious disease docotrs feel she is free of anything contageous. As for Sunday, Jenny is still sleepy, but feels better. Little or no congestion and she has been great with her blood pressure. Her Neurologist did not appear to know she was making voluntary arm movements, and she was able to do right and left side muscle contractions on her arm. He asked if she could move her legs or feet and we told him that she could not, but when asked to try, Jenny made ever so slight movements in her left foot . The neurologist felt this was an excellent sign and sounded very positive for the first time. They feel she is ready to go to Indy on Monday if all stays the same.
Our prayers are with you. It was great to see the kids in church last Sunday. They looked happy and were well taken care of by your Sister and husband.
We are happy for the progress. Keep up the good work. Mark we are praying for you also.
I would have to say that there hasn’t been a day gone by since all this happened that I have not thought of Jenny and the family. You are always in our prayers every day. Yesterday while I was listening to Sat. morning Conference I again thought of Jenny while the opening song began, “My Heavenly Father Loves Me”. I thought of all the songs she has taught the children and was especially mindful of Jenny when the second verse began–“He gave me my eyes that I might see the color of butterfly wings. He gave me my ears that I might hear the magical sound of things. He gave me my life, my mind, my heart. I thank him reverently for all the creations of which I’m apart. Yes, I know Heavenly Father loves me.” It helped me to be grateful for what the Lord has given to Jenny-her eyes, her ears, her life, her mind. It is wonderful to know that she may be blessed with more as she continues to make progress. We will continue to be hopeful and our prayers will continue to be with her and the family.
I am so glad to hear that sister Lynn is moving a little. I pray for her every day. I have also fasted for her. My father (the bishop) came into primary to talk about sister Lynn. By the end, almost everyone was in tears. I hope Sis. Lynn will get well soon or recover.I miss her!
Sounding better and better all the time – the power of prayer is incredible – I pray for Jenny and for you and your family – I pray that you will all have peace and I know from your updates that my prayer has been answered.
If you think it is appropriate for us to send cards to where Jenny is instead of sending them to your home – would you let us know? I’m sure you will let us know when visiting is appropriate, too.
Take care –
