We began our Christmas decorating this week in keeping with family tradition. Unfortunately, it has been very emotional as Jenny begins the Christmas holiday knowing that she is not able to participate fully as she would like to. There is no doubt in anyone’s mind that Jenny plays an active role as wife and mother (we just need to get Jenny to realize this). To a degree I think she does. There are just many reminders of what she can not do.
As for what she can do, the list grows each and every day. She has enjoyed doing electric stimulation. As for what changes it may provide- we do not know. It appears that her left leg has more movement than we once thought, which is a promising thought.
Hey there….I just wanted to say, Jenny, you are doing GREAT! I am so glad that the traditions have not changed and the family is still so supportive and helpful. I think you are so lucky. You are still such an important part of what Christmas means. It is so important that you are involved andI think this all sounds wonderful. What a gift.
God Bless You!
In Love and Faith
why are there not one for each day
As frustrating as it must be for you, your progress to this point amazes me. Should it become difficult for the two of you to see beyond the daily grind, I hope you’ll find strength in knowing that you are sharing with all of us an incredible story about hardwork, faith, and most of all, the healing power of love.
You are frequently in my thoughts,
Dearest Friends–So happy to hear you’re decorating for the holidays! There is so much joy and magic in the air at this time of year. I have looked forward to receiving your Christmas card each year–will you be able to send them out this year? If you need some help, I would love to volunteer! I’m kind of an “expert” at sending stuff, since I do all my own cards, plus the ones for the family I work for. I REALLY mean it–if there is anything I could do to help in your holiday planning, decorating, card-sending, etc., I’d really love the opportunity to do it!!
LOVE ALWAYS, TAMI 🙂 🙂
