It has been three months since Jenny’s stroke. I know Jenny feels impatient with the slow feel of progress, and I do as well. I have to keep telling myself that it has only been a relatively short amount of time even though it feels like ages. Jenny seems to be recovering from her recent illnesses and she is getting more strength back in her body. She received a new bed that is so much better than the the one she had previous. Asking her if she likes her new medical equiptment is like asking if she likes being poked in the eye with a sharp versus a dull needle. She does admit that it is tons more comfortable and her sleeping is more enjoyable.

  1. Jenny and Mark,
Keep your chin up. Time is all you both have. I think that you may find that time will fly at times and drag at others will fly. All of them a treasures. I am glad to hear that the new equiptment is better for yyou all. I hope that you continue to do well.
May God continue to bless you in your recovery process.

  3. Dear Jenny and Mark it’s good to hear that ya’al
(get use to it) are getting out. I get cabin fever dayly. I am taking pictures of the girls, then I’ll send some to you. I know Mark is tease and we hoped he’d grow up but know we know there was a purpose to his talents. Heidi and Nina are working for their dad. Chantelle and Shardae are here with me. Chantelle is going to summer school and loves it. She hated school last year. let me know what your troop is doing. I admire you both for how you are doing. I remember when Chantelle was little (8 months old) and had her first asthma attack, she needed alot of emotional support. But as she grew up we really worked on developing her health and now she doesn’t have a serious problem with her health. But building her stregnth was like watching the grass grow. Hey tell your family Jenny that cockroaches are a way of life here in Texas and we even name them here. Really, I heard that the best preventions are to put boric acid inbetween the walls while they build and to have good sealing around door and windows. This is advice from some one who bombed their house monthly and then had the house fixed for gaps around doors etc. The sealing did it because the would come in from the harsh rain here. They had no children and a maid also to help them keep things spotless. Now she says she doesn’t have the problem. Take care and make sure to take pictues of the family. adios , Mijken

  5. WIPE, WIPE,……SNIVLE, SNIVEL. WELL IT HAS BEEN A WHILE SINCE I WAS ON THE COMPUTER SO I READ THE LAST 2 WEEKS ALL AT ONCE. I CRIED, I LAUGHED, I CRIED, I LAUGHED AGAIN. THERE WAS SO MANY EMOTIONS. WHEN I READ ABOUT JENNY, I FEEL HER PAIN AND HER ACCOMPLISHMENTS. SHE HAS COME SO FAR, SO FAST. I WAS STILL IN THE REHABILITATION HOSPITAL FOR ANOTHER MONTH. I’M SURE SHE HAS MADE IT THROUGH THE ROUGH STUFF. IT’S STILL A STRUGGLE, EVEN AFTER 7 YEARS, BUT IT’S A DIFFERENT KIND OF STUGGLE COMPARED TO THOSE FIRST COUPLE MONTHS.I REMEMEBER THOSE FIRST OUTINGS, THE PANTY HOSE GETTING PUT ON BY MY HUSBAND, THE SPECIAL TREATS LIKE PAINTING MY TOES, PUTTING MY CONTACTS IN CAUSE I DIDN’T LIKE TO WEAR MY GLASSES. THERE WILL BE MORE HURDLES TO COME. MORE MARK WILL FIND TO MAKE JENNY MORE COMFORTABLE. JENNY THE OUTINGS BECOME EASIER IN TIME. NOWADAYS EVERYTHING IS MORE ACCESSIBLE AND THERE ARE MORE AND MORE PEOPLE IN WHEELCHAIRS OUT AND ABOUT. IT HAS IT’S PLUSES TOO. GREAT PARKING, SPECIAL ACCESS AT DISNEYLAND, GREAT RESEARVED SEATS AT ALL EVENTS. JENNY AND MARK YOU TWO HAVE MADE GIANT PROGESS THE LAST COUPLE WEEKS. I AM SO HAPPY TO HEAR YOU TWO ARE OUT AND ABOUT, BACK TO CHURCH, THERAPY,GOING FOR RIDES AND GOING TO THE PARK. I KNOW HOW GOOD IT FEELS TO ACHIEVE THESE GOALS. WHEN YOU ACHIEVE ALL YOUR GOALS YOU WILL FIND NEW ONES. KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK. GOD HAS BLESSED YOU MUCH.
